GitLab is an all-in-one DevOps platform that streamlines the entire software development lifecycle—from project planning and source code management to CI/CD, issue tracking, and security—all within a single, collaborative interface.
In preparation for its IPO, GitLab underwent a brand evolution to reflect the maturity of a company that would eventually surpass $10B in valuation. This refinement included subtle updates to the logo, incorporating the geometry of what GitLab calls the “DevSecOps Loop.” The rebrand also focused on differentiation from competitors—particularly GitHub—while incorporating new iconography, a refined color palette, and a signature brand gradient.
